Home.

What a concept. May we welcome ourselves home to the finite and limitless experience of being human on this earth.

The Whole Heart Project

Exploring the full capacity of the heart through writings, images, audio recordings, and reposts from others walking a similar path.

Light.

May we allow the light of our life-force, our soul, to smolder then flicker and burn, like a candle lit in celebration. A sacred fire igniting in ritual to cleanse and honor and exalt.

“I wish I could show you when you are lonely or in darkness the astonishing light of your own being.” —Hafiz

Breath.

May we unleash our breath to rush in and out like a flurry of air dancing the treetops, wind rolling over the landscape of the body. May we be expansive; wide open and free.

“There is a way of breathing
That is a shame and a suffocation.
And there is another kind of breath,
A love breath,
Which opens you infinitely.” —Rumi

Earth.

May we trust in the ability of the earth to support us, to shelter us, to protect us, to constantly create, regenerate, and rebirth.

“Listen to me, your body is not a temple. Temples can be destroyed and desecrated. Your body is a forest — thick canopies of maple trees and sweet scented wildflowers sprouting in the underwood. You will grow back over and over, no matter how badly you are devastated.” —Beau Taplin

Water.

May we, as individual drops of water, merge into one flowing entity. The cool wetness rushing over earth and rock, wearing away stone with fluid consistency.

“Promise me you will not spend so much time treading water and trying to keep your head above the waves that you forget, truly forget, how you have always loved to swim.” —Tyler Knott Gregson

Take heart, dear one. You are not alone.
